I've worked within ESA Gaia from early 2019-2023 and learnt how to deal with huge quantities of high quality data. This includes detailed SQL queries plus basic Java.
Software Programming
I self taught myself my primary language, python in 2018 and have since kept my coding in constant use with a will to improve & teach others best practices.
Website Development
Further to my experience in python, I also self taught web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and have combined the skill sets to create several functional websites.
Astronomy
My Masters degree gave me a good background in all astrophysics whilst my MPhys & PhD projects have remained focused on Ultracool Dwarfs.
Presentation & Outreach
I have delivered a number of talks/ posters to both expert & public (of all ages) audiences. I cherish the opportunity to discuss my research.
Academic
I'm a Fellow in Higher Education Academy, meaning I have demonstrated a commitment to active learning and teaching standards. I am also the Digitally Enhanced Learning Lead and a School Academic Integrity Officer.
